IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT APPLIES TO ALL LESSONS AND CLASSES

• All students must sign a release waiver.

• All students under 18 must have parent or legal guardian sign the "Parental Consent Form".

• Any and all medical condition must be disclosed to the Florida Surf Lessons staff.

• All students must know how to swim.

• All costs include surfboard(s), wax, wetsuit (if needed), and professional surf instruction - (you are always welcome to bring and learn on your own surfboard).

• You must pre-register to guarantee the clinic or lesson day and time of your choosing. Call to sign up at 888-672-4887.

• Private Surf Lessons require a 50% deposit due at registration. Personal checks are accepted via mail or in person. For your convenience, all major credit cards are all accepted and Credit Card payment can be made over the phone or online via PayPal using this link click here

• Payments and deposits are refundable if ocean and weather conditions do not permit us to run the lessons.

• Advanced payment in full is required for Surf Clinics and Surf Camps.

• Private surf lessons may be booked for as long as you like.

• Our surf instructors are all professionals and will have final say over the wave conditions.

• In the event of bad weather (Thunder or Lightning) the surf lesson or clinic will be rescheduled. Rain, cold air (we have wetsuits), or cloudy skies do not constitute bad weather.

• Rain cleans up the surf making it better therefore we do not cancel lessons or clinics due to rain.

• For each clinic or private lesson you attend, we suggest arriving at least 15 minutes early.

• Our surf clinics are open to the first 16 people to sign up however we reserve the right to increase that quantity if we so choose so long as we maintain an ideal 5:1 beginner student to instructor ratio.

• Always bring sunscreen, a swimsuit, a towel, water, a light snack, and any other items you might want while you are at the beach.

• Confirmation - as we will make every effort to confirm your surfing lesson service the night before or in some cases depending on the service two nights before; however it is ultimately your responsibility to get in touch with us if you feel that you have missed or not received your confirmation phone call. If you have not heard from an FSL representative by 7:00 pm the evening before your scheduled surfing lesson service then you probably have missed your call - so in that case please immediately call either 561-625-5375 to get confirmed.

Beach Areas Surfing Lessons Are Held At: Cocoa Beach, Melbourne, Sebastian, Ft. Pierce, Jensen Beach, Stuart, Jupiter, Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, Hollywood Beach, Dania Beach, and Miami Beach.

COSTA RICA SURF TRIP INFO

1) Make sure you have a passport. You are required to have a passport to enter the country of Costa Rica, so go get one if you don't have one. For U.S. citizens here is a link to the U.S. Department of State website that will give you passport information: http://travel.state.gov/passport/index.html
2) Make sure to bring an extra $27.00. You will need to pay $27.00 to leave the country. This is what they call their Airport Tax.
3) All students must be over 18, for those under 18 they they must be accompanied by a parent OR legal guardian that is over the age of 18.
4) All students must have paperwork completely filled out and submitted a minimum of 10 days before the date of departure.
5) A minimum 50% non-refundable deposit is required at time of reservation to reserve a spot. Balance is due a minimum 15 days prior to departure.
6) Cutoff deadline for any advertised Costa Rica trip is 15 days before the date of departure.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Thank you for scheduling your surfing lesson with Florida Surf Lessons. Since we run an extremely high quality program based on limited space and tight margins our cancellation policy goes as follows:

1) Deposits and payments are only refundable if ocean and weather conditions do no permit us to run the lessons.

2) There is no refund for arriving late or leaving early. There are no partial refunds for any services.

In order to receive a surf school credit for future use, or change the date or time of your reservation you must notify Florida Surf Lessons a minimum of 120 hours or 5 days before the start of your lesson. Any changes made after the cutoff deadline will be charged a $25 reprocessing fee. Cancellations made 2 days or 48 hours before the start of the lesson will not be issued a surf school credit or opportunity to reschedule based on the original deposit. No shows will be charged balance due on credit card used for deposit.

*Please note that reservations for special events may only be rescheduled based upon event status and or availability and at our sole discretion. Any changes in reservation will be charged a $25.00 reprocessing fee. Surf Clinics, Surf Camps, and Surf Trips are considered special events. Group events that can not be run or completed due to lightning, too small or too large of surf will forfeit 25% of the total lesson price as a means to cover our costs of booking and instructor time commitments.

For any group event there will be a charge based of the quoted number of students. If the number of students becomes less than what was originally stated we will need a two week notice of any changes. Any changes of a fewer number of students made less than two weeks prior to the event will result in the client being charged in full for the amount of students originally submitted. This is done as a means to allocate our instructors and resources properly and timely.

Traffic in South and certain parts of Central Florida can be very unpredictable. We have had students miss lessons and show up late to lessons due to congested traffic. Please plan accordingly especially if you are driving from the Miami or Orlando area. We do not grant refunds or reschedule lessons for any late arrivals. Payment is your final confirmation; you will not receive any further notification.

Participants under the age of 18 will need to make sure a legal guardian is present to sign a liability form. We can arrange to fax this form beforehand if a guardian will not be in attendance.

Parking at the various surf breaks we teach at sometimes can be difficult. Please allow a minimum of 30 minutes to arrive and find a parking spot.

Gratuity is not expected but always appreciated.
